Danny's and Eddie's: As one of the newest pubs to hit the neighborhood, Danny’s and Eddie’s has a standard of general Upper East Side mediocrity to uphold. Indeed, by way of its typical pub trappings and $3 happy hour deals (2pm-8pm daily), this bar is doing a decent job of keeping up with the Joneses. The beer selection is boring and the wine selection is, unsurprisingly, nearly non-existent. Nonetheless, it’s nice to sit in a squeaky-clean pub where the pool table felt is still green. Come summer, Danny’s and Eddie’s raises its stock with its outdoor beer garden, filled with umbrella-covered tables. For a cold beer, Danny’s and Eddie’s still gets the job done, whatever the season. |
