d.b.a. (Brooklyn): Fans of East Village haunt d.b.a. will be elated to know that after many months of anticipation, the Brooklyn outpost is finally open for business. Thankfully, this ain’t your typical Williamsburg watering hole--there’s nary a PBR in sight. Instead, focus on the chalkboards containing menus of more whiskey, bourbon, tequila, and beer than you can shake a stick at. Depending on what night you visit, you could be privy to free rum tastings or even live music, and there’s always a game on the flat screen above the long wooden bar. At $6-7 a pint, the drafts are a bit steep, but you’re paying for quality here, people! The large outdoor area will no doubt cement this newcomer’s success by the time summer gets underway, giving day drinkers one more venue to enjoy those summer Fridays.
