Colors: When you work till seven at night, happy hours aren't that happy. Colors on the other hand, whose ownership is a co-op of former Windows of the World staffers, is all about befriending the working man. That's why they award their NoHo business crowd after a hard day's work with an unheard of 5:30-9pm window of opportunity for discounted beers, wine, cocktails, and gourmet apps. Necktie-less "suits" pony up to the bar, chow down on delicious scallop ceviche, and throw back $3 Coronas in a grand, luxurious, yet cozy room decorated with staples of the restaurant's past life, such as a massive paint and fluted glass map of the world. Now if they can only figure out a way to have happy hour in all the world's time zones, that'll be impressive. |
