Club A Steakhouse
After 30 years of operating his legendary namesake restaurant in a townhouse on the Midtown/Upper East Side border, Bruno Selimaj decided to do an extreme makeover and changed both the decor and the menu. Now called Club A Steakhouse, this red meat eater's paradise (with rich red wallpaper to match) is serving prime dry aged steaks, veal chops, and $99 American Kobe tomahawk ribeye, among other carnivorous treats. A latenight menu is available from 11pm to 2 am, so you have no longer have an excuse for subjecting your after-hours dates with fast food.

HOT STEAKHOUSE

Waiters were very nice and don't understand what the below comments but have to agree on the point of the entrees, they are EXCELLENT and it what makes this restaurant. My friend and I shared the Escargot and King Crab Cocktail, fresh as could be and for our entrees we shared the mixed grill for two (great value portioned just right) and the 3 claw lobster had a great presentation and was really fresh, for our sides we had the creamed spinach and hash browns. I have to admit the food is well prepared and the flavor combinations made it an amazing dining experience. This is truly one of the BEST Steakhouses I have been to and the best part is the lounge upstairs ... this is a great place to eat and have a great evening .. you don't leave empty handed!

Waiter Ruins Dining Experience

I and two friends ate at Club 'A' Steakhouse in late Aug., 2008. The food was good (caesar salad was mediocre) to excellent (all entrees were exceptional: wild salmon and filet mignon); unfortunately, our waiter, who told us hailed from Kosovo, really ruined our dining experience as he was analagous to a bull in a china shop. His first mistake was to argue with the customer. When we asked him why "Four Cheese Trifle Mac" would be listed under the "Vegetable" heading, he said macaroni and cheese was a vegetable. WRONG!! Next, when he delivered our entrees he never once came back to check if all was fine with our dinner. Once we finished our dinners, we were given a ceramic pie dish filled with a ton of green and red grapes chilled on ice----very strange---why not cleanse our palettes with a refreshing sorbet. My friend ordered key lime pie for dessert, but "Kosovo Man" began preparing a strawberry dessert which required some egg-related topping over it. He dropped shells into the egg mixture, he did not remove them, and when he poured the mixture over the strawberries, the mixture cascaded over the sides of the dish. He proceeded to plop the dish in front of my friend. When we exited the restaurant, no one was at the door to thank us, ask about our dining experience or hail us a cab. BOTTOM LINE: NICE DECOR, GOOD-EXCELLENT ENTREES, POOR SERVICE!!!!
