Clancy's: Clancy’s caters mostly to the European sporting crowd, and it gets quite packed when there’s a football or rugby game going on overseas. (Don’t call it soccer here.) A quaint Irish setting that exudes more character than most other spots on the block, Clancy’s has a vast and well-priced Irish-American menu including French fries with curry sauce; they also offer delectably tempting burgers, steaks, and other meaty goodness. A dining room in the rear with a functioning fireplace provides a quieter and more relaxed time than the front area, which can get rowdy when there’s a game playing. Though these guys open early for lunch, the bar operates until 4am, and they also feature a pleasant brunch on the weekends. |
