Circa Tabac: Thank you for smoking. Laugh in the face of the no-smoking ban that forces New Yorkers to the sidewalks countless times per night, and enjoy a cigarette with your drink at Circa Tabac—or maybe a few hundred? That’s how many types of puffers this smoke stack offers, and almost as many varieties of cuisine, from French to Italian, American to Polish, and even Chinese. This bar on Watts doesn’t know where to end the menu. But who cares about the food when you can smoke all night and completely curb your appetite? Beige couches and cream-colored walls are dimly lit by chandeliers, casting the room in a drab tone, but since the smoke is bound to drain any pigment from living or non-living things in the vicinity eventually anyway, we guess it’s not that big of a loss. |
