Chelsea Brewing Company expounds upon that theory with a 12,000-square-foot space that features 24-foot ceilings, mahogany wood bars, and a lounge for private parties. And in case that’s not enough for you, it’s got a killer view of the Hudson River. Up to 20 handcrafted beers are available here, in addition to an extensive list of wine, single-malt Scotch, and liquor—oh yeah, and there’s gourmet-style grub too. Of note are the Checker Cab Pale Ale, which infuses wheat malt with noble hops in the style of Germany’s “Kolsch” beer, and the medium-bodied Sunset Red Ale, which uses “crystal malt” in the brewing process for a rich caramel flavor.
