Cecil's Bar:
Cecil’s Bar is for anyone who ever tried to order a Metropolitan and was met with a blank gaze by a hipster bartender. The bartenders here know their Metropolitans, and their Lemon Drops, and probably most other drinks that have fallen out of fashion (or aged gracefully, depending on your outlook). While Cecil’s, located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel, will never be a scene, its charm (read: the old lady drinking a martini and watching Wheel of Fortune seated at the bar next to framed pictures of 1940s Broadway stars) is rather timeless. However, doomed by its location, Cecil’s is more than likely to attract out-of-towners looking for directions to Times Square or 9-5ers whose idea of “letting loose” is taking off their ties.
