CB Six: Sure the stale Turtle Bay scene of suits and fratrats is a buzzkill, but it shouldn’t deter die hard beer lovers from visiting CB Six. In a space about the size of a subway car, these folks have managed to cram in enough cocktail tables (not to mention bottles) to keep a crowd of about 50 happily chugging all night. The four-page-long beer menu is broken into categories like Saison, Porter, Kölsch, and Lambic. While only true bierhounds know their Atlbier from their Abbey Dubbel, friendly staff can help you select. The downside: you’ll have to practically crawl over other drinkers to get to the loo. But hey, it’s New York after all. Avoid a major bruising and squeeze into the cubby hole behind the front bar. It's like a private broom closet with beer. |
