Casablanca Tea Room: An elegant sweep of white tapestries signals the beginning of a very pleasant dining experience in the Casablanca Tea Room, found in the back of SoHo’s multi-level boutique/hair salon, Lounge. Fashion aside, Casablanca is a space of its own, and a perfect place to rest your shopping-pained feet. Enjoy the wide-ranging wine list, one of many organic hot teas, a beer, or even just a cheap sandwich: The menu (like the movie, projected on the back wall) has a Middle Eastern theme, and starts at around $6, ranging up to slightly pricier seafood dishes. Even better, the staff is extra-friendly, a total anomaly in much of retail SoHo that makes Casablanca’s lengthy bar even more enjoyable. |
