Though not the biggest or liveliest of the one-after-another cafés in this area, Camaje is a charming 25-seat restaurant with enticements such as coriander-crusted tuna and braised short ribs. Smaller plates like kielbasa and crostini with pesto and goat cheese tempt diners to linger over the dark Scottish Harviestoun beer or the Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc. If you’re into mixing alcohol with sweets, try the crepes—but don’t blame us if your stomach can’t handle the combo. The “bar” consists of one small couch and there’s no hard alcohol served. Hey, everyone has to eat sometime.
