There are a handful of nightclubs in the city that can undeniably call themselves A-list and this South African-themed hottie is one of them. A live drummer plays in the corner, bongo players roam about the room, and models dance on every surface of this one spacious room where all seating faces the center of the space. It’s one big, exclusive, good-looking, happy family here, with celebrities aplenty. This door is one of the toughest in town (with its only competitors being on the same block), so come here knowing the pre-requisites: Bottle service helps, fancy duds are a must, and “private party” is a possibility—especially on Tuesdays, when this subtle game lodge roars. Unlike most nightclubs, these guys don’t take their cocktail menu lightly. Try the Cape Grace, which is inspired by the owner’s native Cape Town sensibilities.
