Cafe Wha?
Admit it–you’ve listened to Peter, Paul, and Mary sing “Puff the Magic Dragon” at least once...and not just while high. That’s not so embarrassing to admit at Café Wha?, since Mary got her start as a waitress here before singing that cult classic. Yes, the café may have gone down in atmosphere and esteem since its early days, but it’s still worth a go when you’re hanging out on MacDougal with your parents or a group of easily amused international friends. Catch the Café Wha Band almost every night of the week, bringing you everything from classic rock and R&B to funk and reggae, with Brazilian dance parties thrown into the mix. Twenty- and 30-somethings may find themselves on the younger end of the generational gap here, but sometimes the best stuff in life is aged to perfection, right? Right? Mom and Dad will love this place. And hey, if nothing else, you can content yourself with the fact that Bob Dylan once performed here.

THE BEST TIME

This place is awesome. The live house band is amazing. They play an eclectic mix of music that all ages can enjoy, and their SANGRIA is fantastic!
