Cafe Noir: Stepping into Café Noir is not unlike watching scenes from Casablanca. Slowly spinning ceiling fans, jazz music drifting from table to table, and a Moroccan theme are just a few attributes both have in common. But Noir doesn’t stop there, adding a French/Mediterranean twist to its ambiance, noticeable in their vast wine list and menu of les moules and frites. (Also trés Euro is the crowd—you might feel sheepish speaking in an American accent.) DJs spin most nights. If the bartenders are a bit distant, chalk it up to the bar’s French influence, then kick back, relax, and don’t bogart the Bordeaux. |
