Café Charbon: Imagine going to Paris without having to apologize for boy bands, Florida, and American beer. Therein rests the charm of Café Charbon. The owners have done a great job giving Café Charbon a warm character you could only wish to find in every other bar in NYC or gay Paree. A cute French bar with a restaurant attached, the employees seem happy to be there and happy you’re there as well. The bar food menu consists solely of wee plates and the drink selection is nothing extraordinary, but the prices are reasonable and the setting makes for a great after-work haunt, date spot, or just an all-night blowout. |
