Buzz Bar @ Pershing Square: Pershing Square tries to do it all: coffee shop, breakfast diner, upscale restaurant, and bar. But more isn’t always…more. Plus, being on the periphery of Grand Central can really kill a Buzz… or a Buzz Bar, as this place is so unfittingly named. Sandwiched between the bakery and the dining room, there isn’t much happening in this place’s drinking area. If a hot scene isn’t what you’re after, there are definitely worse places to grab a glass of wine before hopping onto or in front of that train to Westchester. With over 30 bottles under $30, these warm and well-lit booths serve as a serviceable spot for plotting a good after-work buzz. (Oh, now we get it.) Better yet, stop in for a muffin on your way to work, or linger over coffee and a newspaper. |
