Brother Jimmy's BBQ West Side: Everything is swine ’n’ the South here. With nightly specials ranging from rib nights to White Trash Wednesdays, this dusty but inviting faux roadhouse fills a void in the Upper West Side: a place to eat hot and spicy politically incorrect food and get loud and drunk while you’re at it. Signs in the shape of pigs let patrons know how many miles it is to cities below the Mason-Dixon, though it’s unlikely that the crowd here has been south of Coney Island. Though being wild is encouraged, don’t pull a Christian Slater (who was arrested after allegedly groping a woman at a Brother Jimmy’s). As the sign above the bar reads, “Be Nice or Leave.” |
