So it was smart that Brooklyn Bowl veered away from their rival’s “mid-'70s Milwaukee” vibe and instead went upscale. The lanes? Brand spankin’ new. The food? Served up fresh from Williamsburg’s first Blue Ribbon Brasserie location, accompanied by ten local draughts. And say goodbye to hard plastic bucket seats; each lane features dark leather Chesterfield sofas that wouldn’t be out of place in the chambers of the Supreme Court. The place even doubles as a legitimate 600-capacity music venue, with a stage outfitted for national touring acts. Obviously, you’ll pay handsomely for the experience—lanes typically cost $40 / hour—so Brooklyn Bowl isn’t for every Lebowski. Those of you with spare cash, though, get ready to rock and roll. |
