Broncas: Downtown doesn’t get more fanny pack traffic than the corner of Bleecker and Christopher, but if you’ve got to be near there, then you’ll probably want to go here. Spacious and tasteful, this tapas joint offers happy hour specials like $10 pitchers of sangria and a hefty-size ‘Brancarita’ (that’s a margarita with a secret ingredient, by the way) that goes for only six bucks. The patio is beautiful, though you may have to put up with squealing packs of girls on their first trip to the big city and other types of Seventh Ave. South questionables. After all, there is an inherent spillover wandering in from Christopher Street, but it’s not bad when you consider this joint is right at the apex of Greenwich Village. Inside, you can expect friendly service and great prices. Hasta la vista, tourista. |
