Broadway Station: After a few karaoke Thursdays at this Astoria sports bar, the staff will know your name—and not just because of your glass-shattering rendition of “Livin’ on a Prayer.” Friendly, clean and decidedly unpretentious, Broadway Station has only one downside: the food is a bit pricey for its down-home digs. But then again, if you order the house quesadilla, chock full of barbeque-sauce goodness, you’ll be doing your taste buds (and worst impulses) a favor. So in short, something for everyone here – you can be a barfly and watch football, bring a date and sit in one of the cozy booths, or come with a group of friends for karaoke and/or a greasy meal—oh, and it’s right under the N/W train.
