Bozu: While there may be something cathartic about banging on a table and downing a pint of cheap beer and sake, it's time to leave that drinking pastime where it belongs (on St. Mark’s with the NYU college freshmen). The only bombs you’ll be enjoying at this Japanese tapas lounge are their aptly named round sushi entrées (an eel-and-mint-leaf roll is called the "Una Bomb"). But while dinner here is a delight and the staff is helpful and hot, it’s the drink selection that’s possibly the best part. The sake list is extensive and ranges from affordable shots to high price bottles. There are the usual Japanese beers and even shochu, but to combine the best of both worlds, Bozu has an impressive cocktail list featuring drinks like the Wabi-Sake spiked with wasabi, sake, and vodka. Open Sun.-Thurs. 6pm-12 am, Fri.-Sat. 6pm-1am.
