Seems like the city’s ubiquitous chic and trendy grocer wisely took the lead on the beer craze. Whether you’re pining like a Brit for Old Speckled Hen or just a smarty pants who likes to serve He'Brew, The Chosen Beer, this store has your half pint. If you do your shopping in this joint, the next hot pub for hanging out may very well be your living room. With over 200 labels decking the shelves, you can’t complain about variety...or the lack of draught options. Six brews are on tap and ready to take home in a snazzy little brown jug they call the Growler. Hmmm, you won’t catch us growling at that, and at $7.99 each, you can bring 'em in for refills on specials like Ommegang Ommegeddon or Bluepoint No Apologies Double IPA. BTW, no drinking is allowed on site unless of course you want to spend the next morning with a summons downtown. On the plus side, the line there moves faster than the one at the food checkout. |
