Bossa Nova Brazil: If Bossa Nova Brazil feels kind of familiar, it's because owner Patrick Lima runs a practical chain of somewhat generic Latin joints around Hell's Kitchen - including the Mexican restaurant Sombrero on 48th and 8th. Still, giving the now-extinct Brasserie 52 an overnight Brazilian makeover wasn't a bad idea, at least not for rum lovers. From Sunday to Thursday night, dig the 2-for-1 Caipirinhas. You can substitute vodka, call it a Caipiroska, and still only pay $8. Count on live music every night Wednesday through Saturday, but this is more of an after-work dining crowd so don't expect to dance. You can sample everything from traditional Brazilian cuisine to Brazilian burgers and bar food, watch the glittering fountains behind the bar and pretend you're Caetano Veloso or The Girl from Ipanema. Still not feeling authentically Brazilian? Just let the rum sink in. Open daily 4pm-4am.
