Sometimes all you need is a mug of beer, a dose of sunshine, and a juicy kielbasa to satisfy your warm-weather needs. Believe it or not, Astoria’s Bohemian Hall is the last “true” outdoor beer garden in all of New York City (feel free to argue this with that large Czech expat double-fisting next to you). Once you’ve tossed back a few clunky mugs of Brouczech, Staropramen, and Czechvar you’ll not only have a more enhanced beer vocabulary, but you’ll also savor the greasy barbequed sausage and fries served on Tuesday nights. If sunburn and catchy live polka isn’t in your bag of tricks, you can head into the year-round bar for $12 pitchers and some of the best European cheer the city has to offer.

The best!

Hands down, the best place to sit outside and sip a beer in New York. Leave the rooftops behind and hit up this Astorian gem.
