Ready to feel like 007 regardless of whether your martini is shaken or stirred? Head to the heart of the West Village and duck into an unassuming brownstone. Don't be alarmed when you have to ring the bell and wait to be let in—even international men of mystery sometimes need assistance. The elegant bar area, complete with a push organ, may be enticing, but request a table in a cushy banquette upstairs. The menu selections err on the richer side and are perfect for winter nights. The strozzapreti is a standout, even for Bond girls watching their figures, and the wine menu is conveniently categorized by food pairings. Treat this as a true dining "experience" rather than just another meal. Besides, there are plenty of other spies outside who couldn't get a table tonight, so consider yourself golden.

hands-down the worst place i've ever been - pretentious staff, overpriced food. will never visit again
