Blue Note
Jonesing for good jazz? Pick up and head to the Blue Note, THE place for jazz in New York. The tiny nightclub has been host to a bevy of legendary performers throughout the years, with everyone from Natalie Cole and Ray Charles to George Benson, Dizzy Gillespie, and Betty Buckley playing and belting out their tunes. It ain’t cheap, though–bar seats can run you around $35, with table seats costing at least $10 more. Throw in a $5 drink minimum and you’ll be singing the blues yourself. Why not check out the Sunday brunch, where $19.50 buys you the show, two-for-one drinks, and a meal? Besides, jazz sounds even better when you’re not paying through the nose for it.

the best in jazz

Everyone in jazz has been here. Dizzy Gillespie, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughn, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Wynton Marsalis. All incredible names - an even more incredible place. I've spent so many nights here I might as well move in the dressing room.
