Blue & Gold: Three words: bargain basement booze. This grimy East Village dive is a good place to pick up a brawny biker or slum it with the rest of us while twirling your cue stick. Just be careful not to get hustled, as the crowd is a little rough around the edges. And don’t even think about paying with plastic, as unsurprisingly only cash is accepted (thankfully those drinks, including the Dirty Hipster, are just $4). Black and white photos line the walls, the floors are sticky, and newcomers are eyeballed, but if you’re looking to get drunk without hitting the ATM first, do a cannonball into this dive. |
