BLT Market: If it weren’t for the fact that this oversized eatery (more like a feeding hall) is situated in Midtown, you could almost, almost, in a drunken stupor moment mistake it for a cozy country nook in the South of France. Too bad it’s just the Ritz-Carlton! Master chef Laurent Tourondel and team have got “le look” down pat, with the giant sunflowers and blond wood hand-carved armoires everywhere. You could mistake it for the French Provencal section at Ethan Allen. Instead of a bedroom set, go for the Fig Twist, a sophisticated French-leaning cocktail with Absolut Citron over muddled fresh figs, a dash of fig syrup, and lemon juice. Gettin' figgy with it? |
