Bleecker Street Bar: We’re a bit partial to this Bleecker Street standby with a surprising list of international brews on tap like Delirium Tremens drafts. It’s not much to look at, we admit, but most of the motley crew who comes here—a solid mix of neighborhood booze hounds, NYU kids, and long-haired, four-eyed editorial types—are too engrossed in a game of pool, darts, Big Buck Hunter, or scintillating conversation to give a crap. You gotta love a bar where, if your company sucks, you can ignore them with an array of alternative activities. Plus, any place with Barry White on the jukebox and Wednesday night ping-pong is fine by us. We’re never, never gonna give it up. |
