Blaggard's Pub (39th St.): The convivial ambiance at Blaggard’s belies the “it’s just another pub” atmosphere. Pretenses are useless here—it’s an Irish bar serving a crowd of people looking to chill over a pint and some bangers ’n’ mash and other pub grub. Judging by the number of suits, the after-work crowd appreciates the “keep it simple” philosophy as well as the friendly service and convenience.
