Black Rabbit
Booze at the push of a button? This alcoholic's wet dream is now a reality thanks to Kent Lanier’s 19th century-inspired bar in Greenpoint. Leave your urban neuroses at the door, step into a private wooden booth (with doors that close for privacy!), press a button, and watch a small bulb light up and your drinks arrive shortly thereafter. Day-um! Admire the old fashioned portraits, deep red ceilings and chandeliers, and the ornate woodwork behind the bar (designed by the owner himself) while indulging in Welsh rarebit tots and a margarita roja, or just kick it on the back patio with a $3 giant can of Guinness. At closing time, you’ll be crying because even though you don’t have to go home, sadly, you can’t stay here.

Black Rabbit = Excellent

BR works for so many reasons and I'm thrilled to have it here in Greenpoint.

I come in on afternoons I work from home to use the free wi fi and hang out. I love the patio in Summer and the swinging door booths year around!

Great food, music and atmosphere! Manhattan on all accounts, but with Brooklyn prices!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Best in NYC

It's gorgeous on the inside and out. Manhattan comes to Brooklyn in a big way. We can't wait to go back.

Best new bar in Brooklyn!

My friends and I love this place. Finally someone opened a bar in Brooklyn for someone other than a cheap single guy looking for a $2 beer (he can still find a $3 Guinness here too). Black Rabbit is gorgeous and my favorites - tons of great seating and excellent music. Sungs as mentioned, ornate old world bar, window bar, outdoor seating and indoor next to a fireplace. Can't wait for the winter in this bar. Food is really, really good too. I hope it can stay this cool.
