Black Pearl: Black Pearl, once an East Village cult-seafood-den located in the back of bar Julep, has grown out of it's Avenue A pubescence and into some bigger duds. Choose from the large dining room in the rear, or sit up front where the bar boasts 23 wines, 25 beers, and a whole mess of martinis including the “Foggy Night” (made with Vodka and Grand Marnier) and the “Gulf Stream” (made with Absolut and coconut rum). Lobster is still the fan favorite—almost everyone in the place is chowing down on the overstuffed lobster roll—unless it happens to be Tuesday when the Pearl is host to the fan-favorite Lobster Night. Black Pearl is proof that growing up is a very good thing. |
