Bistro 61: Who needs to go to France when there are so many French bistros around? Bistro 61 even leaves their ’tude in France (hey, we didn’t make that rumor up, we just endorse it). From the small bar to the intimate tables, it’s a great spot to cozy up to a date. Plus, the bathroom walls are handmade from French wine bottle labels (now that’s pride). A trio of house made foie gras (yep, still legal) is decadence defined and goes brilliantly with a light Sancerre white wine (snazzy!). The small and large plates are all delectable as are the desserts—perfect for feeding your sweetie. But hold on…let’s not drift too far from the booze. Bistro 61’s wine and beer selection is vast and varies in price. The toughest challenge you’ll face tonight may be deciding between the sparkling Chablis white and the bottled Kronenbourg 1664 (or taking your date home for a nightcap). |
