Bianca's: Hidden hotspots like Cabin Down Below (beneath a pizza place) and Su Casa (above a Mexican food chain) are the ultimate trend these days, so why not put a place directly above a strip bar? That's exactly what steak joint Bianca's did but —perhaps due to lack of signage—few have made it in to this restaurant above HQ Gentlemen’s Club, the self-described home of “The World’s Most Beautiful Women.” Then again, Bianca’s (originally Bianca's Triple Ds) may exist solely for carniverous cads and pervy poindexters to treat their favorite, er, performers to the Surf & Turf ($50)—hey, you suppose it's a strip steak? Then there's the “Colossal Shrimp Cocktail” ($24), a perfect gustatory match for an off-duty dancer with colossal something else. But you never know: The speakeasy phenomenon could work its magic even here, with eager waiters in black vests ready to serve you on your rolling red faux-velvet chairs. Just remember to ask for plenty of ones with your change. |
