Bayard's Ale House
Wine bars have their pre-dinner purpose, and it’s hard not to want to hit a martini bar after watching Casino Royale. The one kind of bar, however, that earns a visit no matter what the reason is the ever-loved beer bar. Bayard’s Ale House lives in the West Village space that was once the famed Sazerac House. The corner spot exudes a cozy charm with exposed brick, fireplace, and pew-style seating. As far as the drink is concerned, well, this is a beer-lovers paradise. Almost 20 kinds of global suds grace the friendly taps, with an extra 18 available by the bottle. So, you can now rest assured there are more than enough options on hand to raise your glass and toast to the past—and future.
