Barrio Chino:
If you’re trying to grab a cocktail here, you’d better roll with the early-bird crowd because this place is definitely more of a restaurant than a bar. A Mexican eatery with a Chinese theme is as frightening as a taco stand that sells lo mien; the only thing more troubling than a fish taco is a Szechwan chicken taco. Luckily, the Chinese influence has not crept into the menu at all. There is no sake, but they do have tequila, mojitos, and margaritas. The bay windows open up to the street, giving this closet of a restaurant a little more elbowroom. Barrio Chino is a little confused and you will be too after a couple of throat-burning tequila shots.
