Drop by on Mondays to experience the glamazon Peppermint Gummybear, or stop in on Thursdays for one of the bar’s most popular events, Star Search. Each week, ghetto-fab and equal-opportunity offender (poking fun at all races, religions, nationalities, and sexualities) Shequida hosts an amateur drag competition where the audience is the real winner. But arrive early to snatch a space on one of the black leather couches near the stage. Otherwise, you’ll be viewing the action on a monitor at the bar’s other end. And let’s face it: If you wanted to watch TV, you would’ve just stayed home.
