BarBossa:
What to do when a weekend in São Paolo just isn’t in the cards? We know, it’s a hard-knock life. Luckily, this fresh little place on Elizabeth (from the owners of Palacinka) has stepped up to the NoLita plate with Brazilian- and Portuguese-inspired fare and a mean caipirinha. In the spirit of all things Brazilian, the marble bar is barely there, but with the sun streaming through the windows, old-school fans whirring above, and a mini shrine to Pelé, it feels like it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the slums of Rio; a back room hosts private parties. We dig it; we just hope it will survive the inevitable all-things-Brazilian backlash. Hey, even Leonardo’s moved on.
