Bar 515 is your standard Murray Hill bar: sporty, sleek, and uninspired. But if you’re a frat guy, or if you appreciate frat guy sensibilities, then you’ll find this two-bar juke joint comfortable and clean. With plasma screens and exposed brick walls, there’s always a game on and beer waiting for you. And oh, what beer it is. The two bars—one in the front and one in the back—feature at least 30 micro-brews. Speaking of pouring liquids, the back wall has been transformed into a waterfall, a feature that makes this bar stand out from its like-minded watering hole neighbors. But there’s no escaping the fact that this upscale but status quo sports bar seems more suited for Hoboken than Manhattan.
