If there is such a thing as nouveau Korean, Bann is it. Striking décor and innovative culi-nary options make for an original evening fit for a date or group. A copper bar welcomes you to a romantically darkened room full of rich wood and bamboo. Imported temple tiles and river stones edge the walkway to the dining room and contribute to the tranquil surroundings—even the bathrooms exude Zen. Appetizers like tuna tartare with Asian pear sauce and oyster tempura double as works of art—the tuna is dramatically served over a carved ice bowl and the oysters come on a giant starfish. But starters are the supporting cast to the main event: the do-it-yourself barbecue entrées of marinated meats and seafood and signature drinks like the soju cocktail and pomegranate cosmopolitan. It's a lovely vegetarian restaurant for dinner or brunch. It has a great chilled vibe - friendly service and good space between tables make for a relaxed meal.There's a good wine list and it is reasonably priced
