B.B. King's Blues Club and Grill
The most famous name on Broadway isn’t Julia Roberts or Simba, though your six-year-old niece might argue with you on that. It’s BB King. A blues club named after the legend and situated on 42nd Street has the potential to be a theme restaurant gone bad, but BB King focuses on the music and it does it right. Like all good blues and jazz joints should be, it’s below street level. Framed photos of BB document his musical history on the walls, and the sweet smell of New American food with a Southern flair wafts through the air from Lucille’s, the club’s restaurant, where a second stage is set up. A rotating roster of acts that have included George Clinton, Aretha Franklin, and Cannibal Corps—proving that the club is not exclusive to blues and jazz—take the stage nightly. The man himself can be found up there pretty often, or at least during the gospel brunch on Sundays.

Pretty Decent

This Blues Club actually offers a wide variety of shows, from Blues and Jazz to hard metal, and tickets can be found for cheap (Usually will promote one band, but there are other live acts that go on). Worth looking into if you're looking for a quick and easy night out.
