Assenzio: The only bad thing that can be said about Assenzio is that there’s not enough of it. Add extreme popularity to problem A, and you get one crowded restaurant. Assenzio is popular for a reason—chic, sleek décor and delicious traditional Sardinian food (homemade pasta with wild mushroom and truffles? Don’t mind if we do!). As cramped as they are, this friendly staff is always happy to wish you, “buona sera.” The bar area serves Absinthe and Mirto (berry-flavored Sardinian liqueur), but it’s too small to be an attraction by itself. If you can convince yourself that size doesn’t matter, Assenzio is worth a visit. Open Mon.-Thu. 5-11pm, Fri.-Sat. 5pm-midnight, Sun. 3-10pm.
