At Asia Roma, Chinatown’s only Asian/Italian fusion joint (it might be America’s only Asian/Italian fusion joint, for that matter), that’s just for starters. Sure it seems slightly sacrilegious, but with offerings like steamed mussels in red curry coconut broth ($8) and linguine with fresh lobster ($16), you’ll eat first and ask questions later. Should you want to sing for your supper, karaoke is in full swing on Asia Roma’s two levels. (Afraid to unleash your inner Axl? Order one of their Viagra martinis—Ketel One vodka, Crème de Cassis, and pure yohimbe bark extract—for that extra, er, kick.) The atmosphere can best be described as underwhelming (moss green banquettes occupy most of the space), but between the calamari and the crooning, nobody seems to notice.
