Arezzo: CLOSED. The inside of this joint looks just like a Tuscan farmhouse, and, it’s a restaurant that turns out to be—wait for it—Tuscan. While the cooking is heavy on the country kitchen, the front bar is swank but cozy with a few small tables and plush settees to lie back and sip your Bellini while checking out the crowd. The faux- finish walls make it look like sunlight is streaming through the windows, and after a couple of choices from the extensive Italian wine list, you could easily sip your way into the wee hours. Vino is primo in this establishment and they’ve got a list about as thick as a dictionary to prove it. Impress someone with a classic like Brunello and some Focaccina alla robiola e spinaci (it’s just a pizza, duh). |
