Agozar: The name is based on a Spanish term meaning "to enjoy oneself,” and if a long, relaxing Spanish meal is your way to achieve that, Agozar is a nice option. The mellow atmosphere is particularly prominent in the small outdoor seating area, filled with East Villagers too sun-stroked to make it past Houston Street. Seats are more abundant in the larger back room, where the tables are long enough to fit you and your entire crew. For the do-it-all New Yorker, the tiny, tasty tapas plates are great way to experience the gamut of Cuban cuisine. The incredible happy hour deals (running from 5-8, as well as after midnight on weekends) and the deliciously potent signature mojitos will surely leave you comfortable enough to shake your bon-bon to the live salsa music that prevails here. So this is a good place to “gozar" as long as you're not in some sort of hurry, because the staff is already as laid-back as you hope to be. Open Mon.-Thu. 5pm-midnight, Fri.-Sat. 5pm-1am, Sun. 5-10pm.
