Ace Bar’s got more games than the NBA. Somehow between the darts, pinball, and pool, this über-friendly, oversized pub harmoniously unites hard-core punks, educated hipsters, and urban preps. Unlike most of its neighbors, though, this scene is far from a flash in the pan; these digs have heart. The drink specials are generous ($3.50 drafts and well drinks between 4pm-7pm) and the welcoming staff makes you feel right at home. The colorful cast of characters that crowd the place help make Ace Bar one of the friendliest stomping grounds in the East Village.
