In classic Lower East Side style, recently renovated Bar 87 has an almost schizophrenic feel to it. Christmas ornaments line the front bar, where you can watch baseball, sip a $1 PBR, and listen to Blonde Redhead in one fell swoop. Get your sexy (and seedy) on in the back corridor, where a disco ball shimmers off the walls to display leather couches that subtly suggest either make out cove or drug den. Take your pick, but rest assured that no matter who you end up on the couch with, the bartender has your back: if you don't make the cut on "No Douche bag" Saturdays, she'll "throw your ass out." Now if only every bar had this policy.
