809 Sangria Bar & Grill: Dark and lively on the inside, 809 Sangria Bar & Grill brings hot flavors and character to a street that desperately needs it. Old brick work, lush plants, and a grill that faces the window draw you in to explore just how good Cazuela de Mariscos (Dominican-style seafood bouillabaisse, $24) is. Exotic drinks and sangrias will force you to stay as they are so distinctive and sweet you won’t realize they’re loaded with booze. The Spanish Champagne ($18) is decadent with mango rum, fresh mango, and white peaches, but you’ll want to try the six other varieties too. Just don’t forget that we were the ones who pointed you to the Upper, Upper West Side. (Although you'll have trouble even remembering your name after all that sangria.)
