Follow the three steps down to enter Gramercy Park’s cozy new cocktail lounge called (brace yourself) 3Steps. A wood bar seems the only bit of color in the dimly lit room where black bar stools and oversize black couches compliment the white walls evoking a gothic-like mystique, but without all the brooding usually associated with a black-and-white decked out bar. Instead, an iPod shuffles through a mix of 80s pop while locals sip $4 happy-hour specialties like the Cucumber Cosmo and Citrus Mint Martini that are stronger than what most happy hours offer. Those interested in a nibble can snack on meats, cheeses, and olives, because pub grub just wouldn’t be efficient enough. Open Sun. 4pm-midnight, Mon.-Fri. 5pm-4am, Sat. 7pm-4am.
