You probably had to pass through two velvet ropes and six uber-snobby doormen just to get to this review, but that still doesn’t mean you have a fair shot of being one of the 250 people that are granted entry to 1 OAK, the nightclub from a gathering of previously un-united rich young men who’ve reinvented nightclubbing as a concept with past ventures. They’ve joined forces and come up with a place so hip and edgy, it can only be called by an acronym (“one of a kind”). Of course, the place is supposed to be a major celeb hangout, but rehab and AA sponsors stand in the way of that happening (lmao). Excerpts from Darwin’s Origin of Species deck the walls, which are padded with ostrich leather (gmafb).
